Competition Tennis players who like the challenge and pressure of high level competition will benefit from improved fitness and tennis skills.
We have found that some people don’t wish to play tennis competitively bust still like the fun and skill acquisition involved in hitting shots and dance like footwork. Tennis Blast caters for the person who want to do a team activity just for fitness, fun and enjoyment of a dance type Tennis session.
Many males and females may like to develop their tennis skills and fitness in their own unique way and participate in different, alternative types of tennis activities rather than competitive or tournament style tennis. See the Tennis Dance Video Clip.
The ultimate goal of Tennis Blast is to educate participants of all classes to be know and capable of executing the 36 modern day shots at the end of the correct ways of moving to every part of the tennis court and then correctly return to their original starting position in every possible situation to any part of the opponent’s court. Although this may sound easy, the level of fitness, skill and mental focus to do so is extremely high and we estimate that it will take an average of 3 years to master all the skills and both the physical and mental demands posed by Tennis Blast.
Tennis Blast also includes a complete section on Tennis specific abdominal and band exercises. The strength part of the program is aimed at teens and adults and is an alternative to doing weights in the gym. David Bailey, the technical director of Tennis Blast states that the Tennis Blast Band is the most valuable piece of equipment for fitness that anyone can have. The Tennis Blast Exercise Band can be used in every training session to increase muscle strength and prevent injury.
Stretches should be learned from a young age, but become increasingly important with age. Stretches are used throughout the program to maintain flexibility and relaxation.
